Boundaries - Ward Precincts (2022)
Ward precincts, which function as local election districts to determine the polling places for voters, based on their addresses. Precincts are based on U.S. Census Bureau blocks. On August 2, 2022, the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners approved this configuration of 1290 precincts, conforming to the newly redistricted Ward boundaries that had been approved by the Chicago City Council on May 16, 2022. The first, and only, election to which this dataset applies was the November 8, 2022 General election. Neither this description nor the dataset should be relied upon in situations where legal precision is required. This dataset is in a format for spatial datasets that is inherently tabular but allows for a map as a derived view. Please click the indicated link below for such a map.
