Foggy Bottom Farmer's Co-op Launches Weekly CSA Boxes for Local Families

A group of urban farmers in Foggy Bottom has launched a community-supported agriculture program delivering weekly produce boxes to 150 families across Wards 2 and 6. The Foggy Bottom Farmer's Co-op sources from eight small farms within 60 miles of the District, offering a mix of seasonal vegetables, herbs, and eggs for $32 per week.The program, which reached full enrollment within 48 hours of its announcement, prioritizes affordability — 30 subsidized slots are reserved for SNAP-eligible households at $12 per box. Deliveries begin the first week of May.
