Georgetown Farmers Market Expands to Year-Round Schedule Starting April

By Metro News Network
The beloved Georgetown Farmers Market, a Saturday morning staple along Wisconsin Avenue for over two decades, is expanding to a year-round schedule beginning this April. Market director Elena Vasquez confirmed the move after years of vendor and community requests. The expansion will add an indoor winter market at the Georgetown Community Center, featuring 35 vendors offering locally sourced produce, artisan breads, and small-batch goods from farms across the Chesapeake Bay region. Summer operations along Wisconsin Avenue will continue as usual with over 60 vendors."We've had waiting lists of vendors wanting to participate for three years straight," Vasquez said. "Going year-round lets us support more local farms while giving residents consistent access to quality local food."
