Illinois Income Tax LGDF

The State of Illinois distributes a percentage of income tax receipts to units of local government on a population-weighted basis through the Local Government Distributive Fund (LGDF). That percentage has changed over time. This dataset shows what each unit of government received, based on that year's rate, and how much more or less it would have received under a hypothetical set of rates. The model uses the Illinois Department of Revenue's "Income Tax, Local Use Tax, and Cannabis Use Tax Disbursements" database for its calculations. These projections are estimates that do not account for any adjustments made during internal audits that local governments may have. Boundaries - Ward Precincts (2025-)

Ward precincts, which function as local election districts to determine the polling places for voters, based upon their addresses. Precincts are based on U.S. Census Bureau blocks. This version of the precincts layout was approved by the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners on December 9, 2025. The first election using this configuration of precincts is the March 17, 2026 General Primary. CHANGES FROM THE PREVIOUS PRECINCTS VERSION: Two pairs of precincts, each pair in one ward, had changes in their mutual boundaries. All other precincts, in all other wards, remain the same (both in location and naming) as the previous precincts file from 2023. The changes are found in: Ward 44, precincts 4 and 8 exchange some territories between them; and Ward 50, precinct 11 received some territory from precinct 12.
